◕ What is the difference between .html and .htm?
In the early Operating Systems of Windows, the file extensions were limited to three characters,
like as .xls, .pdf, etc. As as result the default extension for HTML files were .htm.
But as the world of computer grown up, this limitation no longer exists.
As a result .html has become the extension of the HTML documents.
Still there are some applications that use .htm as the default
format for HTML documents. But .html has become universal and is recommended.
